Some Tips for a Smooth Visit with Santa

We are so excited you are wanting to make an appointment with us and are looking forward to our visit!! Below are some tips and tricks we've learned over the past 15+ years (both at various malls and on our set) that will help you and your family have the best possible Santa Experience. We also have a YouTube playlist of a few extra-helpful ones!

  • If possible, show up about 5 minutes early to your appointment. You may have a short wait but we want to be sure everyone is ready to come in and see us at their designated time in case we're ready for you early. Be sure to follow the instructions on the sign right before you come up, pull around our driveway, and park. If your group is arriving in multiple vehicles, please park behind each other as we alternate parking spots (to help with traffic flow) based on appointment times.

  • BEFORE you come in, leave car seats, cell phones, and coats in the car and be sure EVERYONE is ready for a picture (If your littles are scared, we take some pictures of everyone to help them get more comfortable)! It's very warm inside so you just need to make the quick walk from your car to our Chalet's door.

  • Once you come in, if your child is shy, let them hold onto your leg or grab your hand but focus on Santa because he will greet YOU first. Not your child(ren). They need to know that Santa is okay with mommy and daddy (or grandma, grandpa, auntie, uncle, brother, sister, etc.) before they will even THINK about letting go of your leg or hand and getting close to him. Be sure they are watching you interact with Santa during this time.

  • Remember, we have some tricks up our sleeves to get your kiddos to smile and enjoy their visit with Santa (your photographer will help with that so be sure to pay attention to her!). However, we cannot guarantee we will get pictures of happy, smiling kids who are looking at the camera. Sometimes, no matter how hard we try, your child won't ever warm up to being near Santa (or it takes a lot longer than the amount of time we have to spend with you) and our only option is to try again next year.

  • How large your group is (the larger the group, the more time we try to spend with everyone so no one is left out!), the more the cost. We take cash only. For more pricing information, click here.

We are trying to keep our visits shorter than we have in the past (we don't want anyone missing out on a visit with Santa!) but we are keeping the quality and attention each visit deserves. Either way, everyone gets time with Santa and an appropriate number of pictures based on their group size. If we do go a little over any of our appointments and you end up having to wait a bit, you are more than welcome to get out of your vehicle and pet our kitties and doggie or go visit the chickens.
